Welcome Message from President Mingo

Welcome to the fall semester at Washington County Community College! We are looking forward to getting to know our new students and ​reconnecting with our returning students.. Faculty and staff are working diligently to ensure that your college experience is the best possible ​one and we are excited to get started with assisting in your educational journey.


I am extremely proud of our institution and the individuals that live, work, and study here. The important work that you will be doing over the ​academic year will most assuredly change your future, for the better. With every new semester start up, I am encouraged by the talented ​students we meet and their deep care for their peers, and the faculty and staff at this institution. I have no doubt that this year’s class will ​carry on that strong WCCC tradition of respect, compassion and care for one another.


You will find that our mission to inspire individuals through an inclusive, innovative learning environment with personalize guidance ​that transforms lives, enriches communities, and supports economic prosperity is central to the work we do each and every day to ​support your journey. WCCC provides many academic and student supports to assist you with having the best possible experience while ​being a student. Please avail yourself of these opportunities and enjoy getting to know our hardworking faculty and staff that always ​practice a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.


As your president, I am proud of our institution and our students. Please know, we all have your best interests at heart.
